These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Fred's Fence website (fredsfence.com) and any services provided by Fred's Fence ("we," "us," "our"). By accessing our website, requesting an estimate, or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
About Fred's Fence
Fred's Fence is a family-owned fence installation company based in Carteret, New Jersey, serving residential and commercial customers across Monmouth and Middlesex Counties. We are licensed by the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs under Home Improvement Contractor License #13VH13337300, insured by Farmers, and bonded by Liberty Mutual.
Our Services
We provide fence installation services including but not limited to: vinyl/PVC, wood, aluminum, chain link, pool code, pool mesh, composite, privacy, picket, farm/split rail, and custom fence installations. All services include free on-site estimates, written itemized quotes, permit handling, professional installation by our crew, and post-installation warranty support.
Estimates and Quotes
All estimates are provided free of charge with no obligation. Written quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance. Quotes are based on the property as inspected during the estimate visit; significant changes to project scope (additional fence length, design changes, terrain or access changes) may require updated pricing.
Contracts and Deposits
For projects we contract to install, a signed agreement and deposit are typically required to schedule installation. Deposit terms are outlined in your specific project quote. We do not require deposits to provide estimates or initial consultations.
Materials and Warranties
We offer the following warranties on our installations:
- Material Warranty: Lifetime material warranty on most installations, covering manufacturer defects in vinyl, aluminum, and composite materials. Wood installations do not include material warranties (wood is a natural product subject to weathering and decay).
- Labor Warranty: 5-year labor warranty on all installation work, covering defects in workmanship. This includes proper post installation, correct alignment, and functional hardware operation.
- Exclusions: Warranties do not cover damage from impact, vandalism, severe weather events, ground settling beyond normal expectations, modifications by the homeowner, or general wear and tear.
Warranty claims must be reported to Fred's Fence within the warranty period. We will assess the issue and provide repair or replacement as appropriate. Warranty work is performed at our discretion using comparable materials and workmanship.
Permits and Compliance
We obtain all required municipal permits for our installations. Permit costs are typically included in the quoted price. We install fencing in compliance with applicable local building codes, zoning ordinances, and NJ state requirements (including pool code where applicable). Homeowners are responsible for confirming property line locations and HOA approvals where applicable.
Payment Terms
Payment terms are specified in your individual project agreement. We accept check, credit card, and financing through our partner Wisetack. Financing applications are processed by Wisetack and subject to their approval and terms.
Cancellation and Refunds
Once a project is scheduled and materials are ordered, cancellation may be subject to restocking fees or deposit forfeiture as specified in your agreement. We will work with customers in good faith to address scheduling changes or project modifications.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fred's Fence's liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, business interruption, or property value changes.

All content on this website — including text, images, designs, logos, and other materials — is the property of Fred's Fence and protected by U.S. copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this site without our written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use.

Dispute Resolution
